On Friday the 15th September golfers set off on the Championship Course at Cawder Golf Club to raise funds for Glasgow’s Golden Generation. This inaugural Charity Golf Day was sponsored by Onside Advisory Ltd.
Just 10 minutes from Glasgow city centre, the peaceful, picturesque setting lets you forget about the busy city lifestyle and lose yourself in the beautiful game of golf. The natural beauty of the Campsie hills, surrounded by a wonderful woodland, and with the Antonine Wall and the Kelvin river meandering through the course has some of the best views any Scottish golf course has to offer. Designed by the 5 time British Open Champion and renowned golf architect James Braid, the Championship course is well known for its exceptional putting surfaces, stunning views of the Campsies, and its very own “Amen Corner”.
Teams enjoyed a breakfast roll before heading onto the course for a shotgun start.
Back in the club house everyone relaxed over a two-course lunch after a hard fought competition which was won by German Doner Kebab. We are looking forward to them joining us in 2024 to defend their title. Details will be announced soon and we hope you will come and join us too!
