“The team at Glasgow’s Golden Generation would like to send our sincerest thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund and their ‘Awards for All’ initiative, for their recent £10,000 donation. The funding will enable us to continue to promote inclusion and social interaction amongst older adults who are living with dementia.
Glasgow’s Golden Generation aims to empower older adults who are affected by dementia, by involving them in the decision-making process, and allowing them to shape and help to run the services we provide.
One of our main objectives over the coming months is for our four core services to become ‘dementia friendly’, hence we will officially be able to call ourselves a ‘Dementia Friendly Community’.
When our service users are in the later stages of the condition, they will be able to sustain links with the community here at Glasgow’s Golden Generation, as they go on to access other specialist services for their ongoing support and care…”
