GGG has been providing a befriending service to older adults since it was founded in 1948. Now in its 75th year both the charity and the befriending service continue to flourish.
The befriending service covers all of Glasgow, however GGG is urgently looking for volunteer befrienders in the east end of the city. You don’t need any qualifications to volunteer with GGG – you just need to be friendly and willing to commit a few hours a week to support an older adult.
Some volunteer befrienders visit their befriendees in their homes, others meet in the community while some keep in touch on the phone. If you’d like to find out more call Naomi on 0141 221 9924.
