Glasgow’s Golden Generation was recently commended in the Scottish Parliament for the charity’s work during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Pictured above is Nancy Sidwell, one of the older adults who has received support from the charity over the past few months.
The motion put forward by Sandra White was supported by other MSPs and read:
“The Parliament commends Glasgow’s Golden Generation on its outreach programme during the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that the community group has delivered 6,500 parcels of essentials to the doors of older adults in the city, covering 9,000 miles; notes that it has issued 8,500 befriending and benefits advice telephone calls; congratulates the team of 50 key workers and volunteers providing vital support to older people during these exceptional times, and wish all at Glasgow’s Golden Generation the very best.”
