GGG held its 5th Glitz and Gold Afternoon Tea on Sunday 29th October at Hampden. Guests enjoyed a glass of fizz on arrival which was sponsored by Inverarity Morton and tried their luck at our tombola before taking to their seats. There were lots of games and prizes throughout the afternoon. A winner from each table was identified to take home the beautiful centre pieces which had been donated by MUD Urban Flowers. We had a very competitive game of What’s in your Handbag organised by our fabulous host Josie Smith which saw the winner receive a gorgeous clam clutch bag donated by John Lewis. Golden Bingo then followed with the lucky winner securing guest list tickets for the infamous Bongos Bingo!
Upcoming Country Star James Breadner entertained our guests while they had their afternoon tea before the fabulous Simply Rod had the love train travelling around the stadium. It was lovely to see the dance floor so busy.
GGG was grateful to have support from Zone Blinds again this year who donated the Grand Prize Draw star prize of vouchers to spend in their Queenslie Showroom. We are so thankful to all the businesses who donated great prizes for our raffle. There are too many to name check here but all were given a shout out on the screens at the event.
No one left empty handed as they all went home with goody bags filled with lovely Arran Sense of Scotland goodies as well as some fantastic vouchers for Ellis Gin, Essence of Harris and Warrior in Training and some chocolates and smellies from our friends at Sky.
Thank you to everyone who supported the event this year whether through a prize or joining in the fun. Keep an eye out for information on our 2024 event coming in due course.
