Thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland ‘Awards for All’ team for supporting GGG’s digital services with an award of £8348.
As part of GGG’s digital strategy, a dementia-friendly app has been designed for older adults in Glasgow to use at home as a direct response to the pandemic and its impact.
The GGG app is updated weekly with new relevant content and includes a weekly activity newsletter, live bingo sessions delivered by the charity’s key workers at the day centres, armchair exercises, relaxation techniques, memory games with more to come.
This brings GGG’s established work into the homes of those the charity supports, while it’s not possible to physically be with them at the moment. Initial feedback on the piloting of the app with service users has been very positive. This funding from TNLCF will ensure the digital strategy is managed effectively throughout the next few months.
